Configuration and QA Engineer
hyperWALLET is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to join our technical team to assume responsibility for platform configuration management and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of an effective technology team in which you can challenge and grow your technical skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work with development team to identify and implement improvements in the software configuration management lifecycle including daily build, unit test, QA test automation, deployment and release documentation.
• Develop test plans, scripts and documentation.
• Execute functional and UAT testing.
• Automate test scripts to improve deployment efficiency and reliability of releases.
• Help design, document and implement new quality assurance methodologies.
• Participate in load testing and benchmarking projects.
• Communicate test activities, issues, and results to development and management throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in software development projects as required.

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 1+ years experience in a Web Development environment.
• Software testing and quality assurance experience.
• Knowledge or experience with formal test methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools is an asset.
• Experience with the JAVA programming language.
• Linux \ Unix operating system experience.
• Familiar with change control processes.
• Very detail-oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
