For UK resident users only, we will aim to respond to your complaint as quickly as possible; however, depending on the complexity of the issue, it may take up to 15 business days for payments-related complaints and up to 8 weeks for all other complaints. If there is any delay in our final response, we will send you an update on the progress. If we fail to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. The FOS is a free, independent service, which might be able to settle a complaint between you and us. Hyperwallet products and services are provided in Canada by PayPal Canada Co., a registered money services business (MSB) within the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC) under MSB registration: M19890412, and with Revenu Quebec under MSB license number: 12321. PayPal Canada Co. is a Nova Scotia-incorporated corporation, with its primary business address at 661 University Ave., Suite 506, Toronto, ON M5G 1M1.

Singapore

Hyperwallet services are provided to users by PayPal Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 200509725E), which is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a major payment institution under the Payment Services Act 2019 to provide account issuance, domestic money transfer, cross-border money transfer, merchant acquisition, and e-money issuance services. PayPal Pte. Ltd. operates from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (except public holidays recognized in Singapore).

Safeguarding

This section provides a customer of PayPal Pte. Ltd. (“you”) information about how it safeguards funds received from you or on account of you (“your funds”) as required by law in Singapore, unless the exception set out below applies:

  1. Safeguarding method. Paypal Pte. Ltd. safeguards your funds by depositing them into a trust account(s) in its name with a bank or other safeguarding institution in Singapore. It also uses the same trust account(s) to safeguard funds held for other customers, which means: (i) funds from different customers are commingled in the trust account(s); (ii) it is not possible to identify or isolate part of the funds in the trust account(s) as belonging to any particular customer; and (iii) if the safeguarding institution(s) became insolvent or is unable to meets its obligations, there is a risk you might not be able to recover some or all funds in the trust account(s) that it holds on your behalf.
  2. Exception. Where you reside outside Singapore (including if you are an entity that is not established in Singapore and does not carry on business in Singapore), the safeguarding described above does not apply to your funds, except when you withdraw funds from your Hyperwallet program to a Singapore bank account and the funds remain in transit.

PayPal Pte. Ltd. is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to provide e-money issuance services. Please note that this does not mean you will be able to recover all the money you paid to PayPal Pte. Ltd. if PayPal Pte. Ltd.’s business fails.
